Gaylord Hotels has opened its newest property in Phoenix, Arizona, featuring 600,000 square feet of convention space. The 1,750-room resort represents a $1 billion investment and is designed specifically for large-scale corporate meetings and conventions.
Gaylord Phoenix includes a 100,000-square-foot ballroom, 80 breakout rooms, and extensive pre-function space. The property features an atrium with restaurants, retail, and entertainment options, following the successful Gaylord formula.
'Phoenix has been on our radar for years,' said Anthony Capuano, Marriott CEO. 'The market's growth and year-round weather make it ideal for convention business. This property fills a significant gap in the region's meeting infrastructure.'
The resort has already secured bookings through 2028, including several major corporate events and association conferences. Amenities include multiple pools, a full-service spa, and ten food and beverage outlets.
