Now Open: Four Seasons Hotel Mykonos Brings a New Rhythm to the Greek Islands
There is a moment in Mykonos when the morning light reaches the whitewashed buildings, the Aegean turns a deeper shade of blue and the island seems ready for another beautiful summer day.
Four Seasons Hotel Mykonos has opened in time to become part of that rhythm.
Welcoming guests for its inaugural summer season, the new beachfront retreat rises above Kalo Livadi Bay on the island’s southeastern coast. The hotel combines panoramic sea views, contemporary Cycladic architecture, Greek hospitality and the highly personalized service associated with Four Seasons.
Located approximately 20 minutes from Chora, also known as Mykonos Town, the property gives guests easy access to the island’s restaurants, boutiques, galleries and evening scene. Daily shuttle services, private transportation and a boat jetty help connect the hotel with experiences around Mykonos and across the Aegean.
For Four Seasons, the opening also represents a meaningful expansion in Greece. The hotel joins Four Seasons Astir Palace Hotel Athens and introduces the brand’s first island destination in the country.
A Mykonian Village Above the Sea
The hotel unfolds across six hectares, or approximately 15 acres, between the coastal cliffs and the water’s edge.
Acclaimed Greek architect Nicos Valsamakis envisioned the property as a contemporary interpretation of a traditional Mykonian village. A collection of white cubic buildings, stone pathways, terraces, courtyards and colorful doors follows the natural contours of the hillside toward a private beach.
The architecture feels closely connected to the island’s visual identity. Whitewashed walls reflect the sunlight, balconies frame the Aegean and landscaped gardens add softness and fragrance throughout the property.
Valsamakis led the architectural vision, while Wimberly Interiors created the guestrooms, suites, spa, public spaces and children’s club. Greek landscape architect Helli Pangalou shaped the outdoor environment, and New York-based Rockwell Group designed the hotel’s restaurants and bars.
Together, these creative teams have developed a resort that feels rooted in Mykonos while expressing a polished, contemporary personality.
94 Rooms, Suites and Villas Framed by the Aegean
Four Seasons Hotel Mykonos features 94 rooms, suites and villas, all arranged to celebrate the island setting.
Private terraces invite guests to begin the day with sea air and expansive views. Many accommodations also feature plunge pools, creating a peaceful space for an early swim, an afternoon refresh or a quiet moment as the sun moves across the bay.
The design draws inspiration from traditional Cycladic forms through clean lines, natural textures, soft colors and carefully selected local references. Spacious layouts and indoor-outdoor living allow the landscape to become a central part of the stay.
The experience continues throughout the property with two infinity pools, direct beach access and gathering spaces designed around the sea.
A Private Beach on Kalo Livadi Bay
The hotel’s location above Kalo Livadi Bay creates a naturally scenic setting for days by the water.
Guests can move between the private beach and two infinity pools, with panoramic views accompanying each part of the day. The beach becomes an inviting place for swimming, relaxing, enjoying refreshments and embracing the easy pace of a Greek island summer.
The southeastern setting also provides a beautiful starting point for discovering Mykonos. Chora and Mykonos Airport are both approximately 10 kilometres, or six miles, from the hotel.
This sense of connection shapes the hotel’s identity: mornings can begin beside the sea, afternoons can unfold around the island and evenings can continue in town or at one of the property’s own restaurants.
Four Restaurants and Bars with Aegean Views
Dining plays a central role in the Four Seasons Mykonos experience.
The hotel introduces four distinct restaurants and bars, each with its own atmosphere and culinary character. Across the collection, menus celebrate Mediterranean ingredients, Greek traditions, Italian flavors and the natural generosity of seaside dining.
Álef
Álef is the hotel’s Mediterranean grill, where premium meats and fresh seafood are paired with Greek and Old World wines.
The restaurant’s setting, overlooking the sea, creates a natural destination for relaxed lunches, sunset dining and celebratory evenings. Its menu highlights the region’s relationship with the land and water through ingredient-driven dishes and open-flame techniques.
Corbu
Corbu brings the flavors of Italy to Mykonos through an all-day dining experience.
Coastal Italian cuisine, fresh ingredients and welcoming service shape a menu designed for leisurely meals throughout the day. The restaurant’s sea views and polished atmosphere make it equally suited to breakfast, lunch and dinner.
The Beach
The Beach captures the easy spirit of Mykonian seaside living.
Handcrafted cocktails, refreshing drinks and relaxed food accompany days beside the water. Inspired by the island’s golden era, the setting moves naturally from sun-filled mornings to sunset gatherings.
Kafeneo
Kafeneo is conceived as a social heart of the hotel.
Guests can begin the morning with freshly brewed coffee, return for traditional Greek meze and desserts, and gather once more as evening arrives. The experience reflects the role of the traditional Greek kafeneio: a place for conversation, connection and the pleasure of spending time together.
Across all four venues, the atmosphere evolves throughout the day while the Aegean remains part of the view.
Wellness Among Fragrant Gardens
The spa at Four Seasons Hotel Mykonos is set among landscaped gardens and designed as a restorative extension of the island environment.
Seven treatment rooms provide space for personalized therapies, while an outdoor spa pavilion allows guests to enjoy wellness experiences in the open air. A thermal circuit includes a sauna, steam room and vitality pool.
The 24-hour Fitness Centre supports a wide range of movement and training preferences. Guests can join an outdoor spinning session, practice yoga or stretching in a sea-view fitness pavilion, or arrange a customized routine with a personal trainer.
The setting brings together movement, fresh air, gardens and sea views, creating a wellness experience that feels closely aligned with the natural rhythm of Mykonos.
Island Experiences Created for Discovery
Mykonos holds many stories beyond its celebrated beaches, and Four Seasons has developed a collection of experiences that connect guests with the island’s history, landscape and culture.
Delos and Rhenia
A boat journey from the southern coast leads to Delos, one of the most important archaeological sites in Greece and a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
The island was considered sacred in the ancient Greek world and is closely associated with Apollo and Artemis. Guests can explore its temples, mosaics, terraces and historic remains before continuing to nearby Rhenia for swimming and snorkeling in clear Aegean waters.
The combination brings archaeology, mythology and the sea together in a single day.
Mykonos from the Sky
A private helicopter sightseeing experience offers an aerial perspective of the Cyclades.
From above, guests can see the island’s rocky coastline, white villages, beaches and surrounding blue waters. The experience reveals the geography of Mykonos in a dramatic and memorable way.
The Best of Mykonos
A guided island tour begins among the whitewashed lanes, small chapels and hidden corners of Chora.
The itinerary can continue to the Armenistis Lighthouse, Kalafatis Beach and the traditional village of Ano Mera, giving guests a broader introduction to local architecture, heritage and daily island life.
Horseback Riding to Fokos Beach
This outdoor adventure follows rocky paths, farmland and the area surrounding Fokos Dam before arriving at Fokos Beach.
The route presents a different view of Mykonos, shaped by open landscapes, rural traditions and volcanic coastal scenery.
A New Setting for Mykonos Weddings
Mykonos has long inspired couples with its light, landscape and romantic Aegean setting. Four Seasons Hotel Mykonos adds a collection of venues designed for weddings, celebrations and private gatherings.
Outdoor events at the hotel’s restaurants can host up to 200 guests, and indoor dining spaces can also be reserved for private occasions. Villas, terraces and the beach offer additional possibilities for personalized celebrations.
One of the property’s most distinctive settings is a secluded hillside chapel overlooking the bay. Couples can exchange vows surrounded by sea views, followed by a reception at nearby Álef.
The chapel, architecture and natural landscape create a setting that feels distinctly Greek and deeply connected to the destination.
A Family-Friendly Greek Island Stay
The hotel also welcomes families with the Kids For All Seasons program, babysitting services, swimming pools, beach access and activities designed for younger travelers.
Mykonos offers a natural playground for shared adventures, from beach days and boat excursions to cultural discoveries and family meals overlooking the sea.
Spacious suites and villas provide additional room for families traveling together, while the hotel’s variety of dining and recreation options allows each day to unfold at a comfortable pace.
Connecting Mykonos and Athens
Four Seasons guests can combine Mykonos with a stay at Four Seasons Astir Palace Hotel Athens, creating a journey that brings together the capital’s history, culture and gastronomy with the beauty of the Cyclades.
Mykonos is approximately three hours from Athens by boat, 30 minutes by plane or 20 minutes by helicopter. Four Seasons can coordinate transportation and transfers between the two destinations.
The combination gives travelers the opportunity to explore ancient landmarks and contemporary Athenian life before continuing to the island for beach days, sailing and Aegean sunsets.
Four Seasons Continues Its Greek Journey
The opening of Four Seasons Hotel Mykonos marks the next chapter of the brand’s presence in Greece.
Four Seasons has also announced Four Seasons Resort and Residences Porto Heli, planned for Hinitsa Bay. The future beachfront property will join the company’s expanding Greek portfolio with resort accommodations, residences, family amenities, wellness facilities, sports spaces and multiple swimming pools.
Together, Athens, Mykonos and Porto Heli reflect three distinctive expressions of Greek hospitality: cosmopolitan coastal living, Cycladic island beauty and a refined Peloponnesian retreat.
A New Address for the Mykonos Summer
Four Seasons Hotel Mykonos arrives with a clear sense of place.
Its architecture follows the hillside like a village. Its restaurants celebrate Mediterranean flavors beside the sea. Its spa draws inspiration from gardens, movement and open-air living. Its excursions invite travelers into the history, mythology and landscapes of the island.
Above Kalo Livadi Bay, the hotel offers a fresh way to experience Mykonos—through peaceful mornings, sun-filled days, generous Greek dining and evenings shaped by the energy of the island.
